B. A

1 year B.A. Degree Course - ELIGIBILITY

1. Candidates who have passed the two year PUC Examination of the Karnataka- Pre-University Board with any combination of Optional subject or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to shall be eligible for admission for the B.A degree course.

2. The job Oriented Diploma Courses conducted by the directorate of Vocational Education in Karnataka and other States is considered as equivalent to two year. PUC of Karnataka and such students are eligible for admission to Ist year degree course like B.A./B.Com

 

B. Sc

1 Year B.Sc., Degree Course - ELIGIBILITY

a. A candidate who has passed the two year PUC Examination of the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board consisting of at least two science subjects as optional (enumerated in regulations under the faculty science) or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to shall be eligible for admission to B.Sc. degree course. 

b. A candidate for the B.Sc, degree shall opt for at least two of the optional subjects she has studied at the PU Course. 

c. A candidate opting for statistics shall have studied statistics or Mathematics at the Pre-University Course. 

d. A candidate opting for Physics in the B.Sc., shall have studied Mathematics in addition to Physics in the Pre-University Courses. 

e. Only those students who have taken Mathematics in Pre-University or equivalent examination are eligible for admission to B.Sc with Computer Science as one of the optional subject. 

The Job Oriented Diploma Courses conducted by the directorate of vocational education in Karnataka and other states is considered as equivalent to two year PUC of Karnataka and such students are eligible for admission to first year degree course like B.A. / B.Sc and B.Com

B. Com

1 Year B.Com Degree Course - ELIGIBILITY

a) Students who completed two year Pre-University Examination of Karnataka state or equivalent examination there to shall be eligible for admission to B.Com degree course. 

b) Candidates who have passed Diploma in business Administration in Karnataka may also be held eligible for admission to I year B.Com Degree course. (ACA/ A4/EQUL 9/83-84, Dated 8-2-84). 

c) Candidates who have passed Diploma in secretarial / commercial practice conducted by the Board of technical examination, Karnataka may also be held eligible for admission directly to I Year B.Com degree course. (ACA R4MISC/ dated 31-7-82). 

The job - oriented Diploma courses conducted by the directorate of vocational education in Karnataka and other states is considered as equivalent to two years PUC of Karnataka and such students are eligible for admission to I year degree course like B.A. / B.com / B.Sc. 

Part l: Two languages allowed by the university out of which at least one shall be an Indian language subject to the provision that, a candidate for the BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com degree shall offer at least one of the languages, she studied for the PUC Examination. 

However in the case of foreign national who have not studied Indian language the Vice Chancellor shall have the power to permit them to study any two language or English and Additional English. 

The following category of candidates are also permitted to opt. additional English in lieu of Indian language at B.A. / B.Sc/ B.Com courses. 

1. Candidate who have passed 10+2 Examination CBSE/ ISCE and have not studied any Indian language at the qualifying examination. 

2. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from North Eastern States like West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Etc., and who have studied the subjects like Bengali, Assamme, etc., at their qualifying examination. 

3. Candidates who want to change the Language to additional English giving the valid reason that the college are not offering the languages which they have studied at the qualifying examination. Part Il: Three approved subjects of equal standard in case of B.A. / B.Sc courses and prescribed number of papers of equal standard in the case of B.Com Course.

B B M

B B M

ATTENDANCE

1. a. There shall be two sessions a day, one in the morning extending from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and the other from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. 

b. Attendance registers will be maintained by the lecturers and attendance will be take at the beginning of each hour. 

2. Students are expected to be in their places at the be ginning of the hour. Late comers should not enter the class without the permission of the lecturer in charge of that class. 

3. Students are expected to be on the campus during working hours. Any free hour, will be spent usefully in the library or reading room. Students are not permitted to walk about on the roads during working hours. 

4. A student shall be considered to have completed the academic year if she has attended not less than 75% of the number of working periods of each subject and if her conduct and progress have been satisfactory.

CONDONATION OF SHORTAGE OF ATTENDANCE DEGREE STUDENTS
The Vice-Chancellor shall have the power to condone shortage of attendance if any, upto 15%, in extraordinary circumstance, on the recommendation of the principal, subject to the payment of a penal fee per subject, to the Controller of Examination of the University. if she has attended not less than 75% of the number of working periods of each subject and if her conduct and progress have been satisfactory.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE
1. Students are advised not to absent themselves without reasons. They are reminded that good results depend much on extra work done in the library. 

2. No student may be absent from class without leave. Leave letters must be addressed to the Principal and countersigned by the Parent / Guardian. They will be handed over to the College Office. 

3. Leave applications for reasons of illness beyond three days must be accompanied by a medical certificate. 

4. Absence of students on days of tests, written exercise and examinations will be particularly noted. They shall produce a medical certificate and give valid reasons. 

5. A student absenting herself for more than seven days with out a leave application is liable to have her name struck off the rolls.

6. Students will attend the Faith Formation and Value Education classes.

7. Association meeting will ordinarily be held once a week. Students concerned should attend.

CERTIFICATES

The academic year for the college shall consist of two terms which shall ordinarily begin and end as: 

First, Third & Fifth Semester : July to December Second, Fourth & Sixth Semester : January to June 

1. No certificate shall be granted, unless a student has maintained the attendance prescribed by the college in the course of instruction followed by her during the year and her progress and conduct have been satisfactory. Neither will a certificate be given unless all dues to the college are paid. 

2. Students applying for transfer shall be issued the transfer certificate on payment of all dues to the college and a fee of Rs.50/- 

3. Extracts from the University or college Admission Register will be issued on payment of the required fee. 

4. Every application for a certificate shall be made at least three working days the before the certificate is required and shall contain all the particulars regarding the student's name, ldentity card number, examination passed and subjects taken under parts I and II.

M.Com

M.Com course is a two year full time programme affiliated to Bangalore University.
